While we were at Gdańsk we mad an excursion with our friends to a peninsula called Hel. A popular touristic place, with hawkers, restaurants, water sport possibilities.

Ołsztyn and around
The day after the wedding, still a bit dizzy in our heads we went with our friends (husband and wife at that time) to sightseeing. They showed us downtown of Ołsztyn, and shared with us some of their memories, – what made this town even cuter.
We had a lunch at the gyros booth – as it is one of the things “you should try”. They have gyros from normal to gigantic size. Served practically and nice. And I have to say the taste was good as well.
A small cunning town, with nice old buildings, stylish pubs, tarnish cobble and the stories gave this town a special meaning. I felt like I’ve been here many times, and felt a little bit at home. Continue reading

Poland. A land of bitter diversities, nice hospitality, good food and polite people.
I would never thought…, or to be more precise: I assumed a totally different picture. I thought it will be a country of man with mustaches, cheap shops, bad roads and strange food. I was wrong. I just might be right with few assumptions, if we were talking about Poland before 10 or 20 years. But nowadays, Poland is something really pleasant. Continue reading

Vintage
Grape harvest of 2008 were the first vintage of our own grown grape. I went to give a helping hand, but unfortunately the weather were not on our side, that weekend. 3 day rain made the roads to our wineyard unaccessible. And even if we could reach it, mud would stop us from harvesting. Continue reading
